USA: Maritime exercise to secure the world’s oceans

Twenty-six nations, more than 45 ships and submarines, about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel were participating in Rim of Pacific Exercise RIMPAC from June 27 to August 2 in around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships between participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea-lanes and security on the world’s oceans. RIMPAC 2018 is the 26^th exercise in the series that began 1971.
